To recoup a large technology capital expenditure as quickly as possible. Educate the sales and customer service teams on the customers' pain areas and primary needs. Recent expansion and restructuring of the company meant that the task of cross-selling newly developed services to the existing customer base was placing huge demands on the sales teams. Team spirit, motivation, an empathy with the customer and solid product knowledge all required urgent improvement.
Results
Eye-catching, informative, youthful and fun internal campaigns helped the teams more confidently communicate with customers, and better match products and services to their needs. Conceptual themes made product information and messaging memorable and appealing. Incentivised competitions generated healthy rivalry between teams. By the end of their Q4 2005/06 Star had reached 99% of its aggressive sales target.
